HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Highest Roofing & Exteriors cut the ribbon on their brand new building on the South Side of Harrisonburg on Friday.

The construction project took a year to complete, and while the building was going up, the owner was fighting his own battle.

“Over the past year, while this building was going up brick by brick, I was going through the toughest fight of my life… my battle with cancer,” says owner Carlos Sagastume.

Owners Max and Carlos Sagastume.

“In roofing, we understand storms, like storms with hail. We see the damage they cause, and we also see what it takes to rebuild. This past year, I experienced my own storm, but I’m standing here today because of faith, determination, and the incredible people who stood beside me through it all.

This building behind us today represents more than growth for a business. It represents perseverance. It represents hope. And it represents the belief that no matter how strong the storm may be, with the right people around you, you can rebuild stronger than before,” Sagastume said.

Highest Roofing‘s new location is 4030 S Main Street in Harrisonburg.
