Grottoes won at Massanutten on Thursday, 8-5, to capture game five of their Rockingham County Baseball League semifinal and complete the comeback of being down 2-0 in the series.

With the victory, the Cardinals advance to the RCBL Championship Series for the first time since 1996.

3rd-seeded Grottoes will have homefield advantage against No. 4 Bridgewater in the best-of-seven series as they’ll host game one on Saturday at Shifflett Field at 6:30 p.m.
