RICHMOND, VA (Rocktown Now) — Governor Abigail Spanberger has ordered flags at half-staff on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

The governor said this is in respect and memory of the victims of the Virginia Tech shooting, their families, and the entire Virginia Tech community.

Flags shall be lowered at sunrise and remain at half-staff until sunset.
