WEYERS CAVE, VA (Rocktown Now) — Delegate Chris Runion has been re-appointed by Speaker of the House Don Scott to serve on the Board of Trustees for the Frank Ruff Center for Rural Virginia.
According to a release, the Center focuses on strengthening rural communities across the Commonwealth by supporting economic development, workforce opportunities, and long‑term strategies that help rural regions thrive.
Delegate Runion expressed his appreciation for the re-appointment, noting the importance of rural voices in statewide decision‑making.
“It is my privilege and honor to serve on the Frank Ruff Center for Rural Virginia Board and to represent rural Virginia in this way,” Delegate Runion said. “Our rural communities are the backbone of the Commonwealth, and I look forward to supporting the Center’s work to expand opportunities and strengthen the future of our great folks in the rural communities of the Commonwealth.”
