WAYNESBORO, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Time is running out for businesses and organizations in Waynesboro to apply for Building Opportunities to Support Tourism, or BOOST, grants.
These grants are up to $3,000 to support eligible activities such as festivals and events.
Stephanie Duffy, Assistant Director for Waynesboro Economic Development and Tourism, says that tourism plays a vital role in the local economy.
“We’re really excited to offer the boost grant program once again to provide support for event organizers as they continue to grow and improve their programs, which ultimately drives visitation to Waynesboro,” Duffy said.
Completed applications are due by noon on Friday, August 2. A committee will then review the applications and make determinations for the grant awards by Monday, August 12.
