HARRISONBURG VA: (Rocktown Now) – We’ll see a noticeable shift from relatively quiet weather today to a cooler and wetter pattern from Sunday through Wednesday, as a frontal system settles near the Mid-Atlantic, according to the National Weather Service.

A cold front moved through the region Friday and behind the front, high pressure is expected to cross the northeastern United States today, bringing somewhat cooler and less humid conditions to the Shenandoah Valley. Things become more unsettled Sunday as a frontal system stalls near the Mid-Atlantic. The stalled boundary will provide a focus for showers and thunderstorms and is expected to contribute to a cooling trend. The NWS says daily shower chances could persist through much of next week, with temperatures likely falling below normal.
