FISHERSVILLE, VA (Rocktown Now) – According to Augusta County Fire and Rescue (ACFR) in an online post, fire crews conducting pump training at the Preston L. Yancey Volunteer Fire Department, witnessed a motor vehicle collision involving a utility pole near the station on Jefferson Highway.

While the driver of the vehicle was uninjured, the accompanying trailer had wrapped around the utility pole, creating a hazard to both traffic and utility infrastructure.

ACFR was able to quickly dislodge the trailer with assistance from Dominion Energy and restore safety to the scene.
