The Augusta County chapter of the group Mothers of Angels is inviting the community to join them for a Distracted Drivers Awareness Walk this Saturday morning at Fort Defiance High School.

In a release, they say walkers will honor the memory of Valley residents whose lives were cut short by preventable traffic accidents.

This includes Hailey Green, an 18-year-old senior at Fort Defiance who was killed nearly four years ago in a head-on collision; and Haylie Yale, a 12-year-old from Crimora who died in a June 2021 crash.

The walk will begin at 10 o’clock.
