The federal tax filing deadline came and went nearly two weeks ago – but Virginia taxpayers have one more cutoff date to keep in mind.
For anyone who hasn’t filed Virginia state taxes, the deadline is close of business today to submit those returns to Richmond.
Some folks are able to file electronically for free, including residents with an adjusted gross income under 46-thousand dollars, or up to 73-thousand dollars for active duty military.
Anyone who qualifies for the Earned Income Tax credit is subject to certain discounts as well.
More information about last-minute filing is available at tax.virginia.gov.
