Several projects in the Shenandoah Valley are included in a recent U-S-D-A announcement of 266 million dollars in funding nationwide for renewable energy and energy-efficiency projects.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack says the loans and grants will be awarded through the Rural Energy for America Program.

Those receiving funding include Consumers Auto Warehouse Inc. and Dockery Properties in Staunton. Virginia Panel Corporation and Zues Digital Theater L-L-C in Waynesboro. T-S-L Farms Inc. and Regeneration Cycle L-L-C in Rockingham County and Alex Botkin of Augusta County.
