Augusta County Fire and Rescue will be celebrating the holidays with a new ambulance.  After months of work, the first of three replacement ambulances arrived in the county recently.
The agency announced that one ambulance – decked out in Augusta County’s blue, yellow and white – was dropped off by New Jersey-based P.L. Custom Emergency Vehicles.
The outfitting project took about three months to complete, with the basic, unequipped truck entering production in mid-September.
A-C-F-R said that supply chain setbacks caused delays in the first vehicle’s delivery, but work is coming along on the two other ambulances the county has ordered.
