Harrisonburg city officials are advising drivers to watch out for a closed road in the downtown area in the weeks ahead.

Harrisonburg transportation says sidewalk repairs and work on an adjoining retaining wall is underway on a section of Wolfe Street, between Liberty and High streets.

The road will be closed to thru-traffic, and barricades will be in place. However, officials say private entrances on the street will be accessible, and pedestrians can still access the south side of Wolfe Street.

Work is expected to continue “off and on” through June.
