LURAY VA: (WSVA) In a race decided by less than 400 votes, Page County Sheriff Chad Cubbage has fended off a challenge from Aaron Cubbage to remain the county’s top cop.
According to the latest results, just four points separated the first cousins as Chad Cubbage tip-toed into a third term with 52 percent of the vote.
Allen Louderback also defeated Paula Kibler by eight points to become the District Two supervisor. Meanwhile, Chris Reisinger beat Brenda Haggett by six points in a special election for Shenandoah Town Council.
Shenandoah County residents have elected a new commonwealth’s attorney, ousting Amanda McDonald by 34 points in favor of Lizzy Cooper.
And in Staunton, Adam Campbell was comfortably elected to city council over Wilson Fauber.
