The man accused of shooting into a vehicle in Harrisonburg nearly two months ago could be facing stiffer penalties.

Online records showed that two additional charges were levied against Timothy Leach of Fayetteville, North Carolina, including attempted first-degree murder.

A Rockingham County Circuit Court grand jury indicted the 43-year-old Leach earlier this week on five total felony counts after he allegedly fired multiple shots into a vehicle at the intersection of East Market Street and Linda Lane during the evening of August 20th.

The victim had to be flown to U-V-A Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

Leach remains in custody and has a trial date now set for January 22nd of next year.
