Virginia attorney general Jason Miyares is doubling down on his criticism of Washington D-C leadership in the wake of a Harrisonburg woman’s murder in the city last weekend.

Appearing on Fox News last night (Thursday), Miyares blamed the death of 31-year-old Christy Bautista, a J-M-U graduate, on policies that he says treats violent criminals with kid gloves.

Miyares added that the suspect, 43-year-old George Sydnor Junior, had been arrested 11 previous times before he allegedly stabbed Bautista 30 times in her D-C hotel room.

Sydnor is charged with first-degree murder in the case.
