CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Virginia attorney general Jason Miyares says commonwealth legal offices raised over 350-thousand dollars for food banks during this year’s Legal Food Frenzy – equivalent to nearly one-and-a-half million meals.

The A-G released that figure last night while announcing the winners of the 17th annual fundraising competition.

That includes nearly 54-thousand in donations for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

McguireWoods of Charlottesville was named the top contributor per capita to the organization, raising nearly 11-hundred dollars per employee.

However, attorneys at Flora Pettit – with offices in Harrisonburg and Charlottesville – raised the highest total amount for the organization: 21-thousand-268 dollars.
