HARRISONBURG, Va. – Carole Miller has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the James Madison women’s basketball team for the 2023-24 season, Head Coach Sean O’Regan announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Miller makes her way to the Friendly City after spending four seasons at the University of Virginia, where she played in 84 games, making 67 starts. The guard logged 1,922 minutes of game action for the Cavaliers, averaging 5.2 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest.
“Carole is an extremely experienced player, and I’m thrilled to have her join the family. I’ve been watching her since her freshman year in high school and we were her first offer. She’s tough. She’s a great defender. She rebounds. She loves getting out on the break in transition and has a great mid-range game. She’s a perfect addition to what we have.”
In 2022-23, the guard scored a season-best 10 points in UVA’s season-opener against George Washington (Nov. 7) and dished out a career-high six assists versus Minnesota (Nov. 26). The Cavalier’s first contest of the season against Virginia Tech (Jan. 5) saw Miller tie her career high with nine rebounds to along with three points off the bench.
