HARRISONBURG VA: (WSVA) – James Madison University has been awarded Silver-level Bicycle Friendly University status for its efforts to promote and enable safe, accessible bicycling on campus.

The recognition comes from The League of American Bicyclists, which is a grassroots advocacy organization that encourages better bicycling and protecting the rights of people who bike.

Valerie Kramer is the alternative transportation manager at J-M-U and she said in a release that she is proud of the award because it recognizes the university’s efforts to making bicycling to and from safer and easier.
