A Harrisonburg-based scientist has been named to a state leadership position.
Late last week, Governor Glenn Youngkin’s office announced that Shannon George, project Manager and geologist with the group Haley & Aldrich, was tapped to join the Virginia Board for Professional Soil Scientists, Wetlands Professionals and Geologists.
An online profile for George says that her skills include drilling program management, aquifer characterization and rock identification.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Temple University, and a master’s in geology from the University of Buffalo.
