HARRISONBURG VA: (WSVA) – We reported earlier this month that the Great Community Give is returning for its seventh year next spring.

Officials with the Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County have now announced that it will open its campaign next Wednesday, ironically on National Philanthropy Day.

The Foundation’s Director of Marketing and Program Initiatives Amanda Bomfim said earlier this month on Early Mornings that over two million dollars was raised last year and it is once again the goal for this year.

The foundation will accept eligible nonprofit registrations from November 15th until February 15th.

Eligibility means having I-R-S 501(c)3 tax status and located in or serving Harrisonburg and Rockingham County.

The Great Community Give will be on the third Wednesday of April, which April 17th.  This years goal will be 2-million dollars.
