Governor Glenn Youngkin’s approval rating remains above water in Virginia, but Republicans in the state still don’t seem to favor him for president.

A new survey released yesterday by Roanoke College asked G-O-P voters who should be the Republican presidential nominee in 2024. On the heels of his fourth criminal indictment, Donald Trump was the clear front-runner with 47 percent, followed by Ron DeSantis in a distant second at 13 percent.

According to the poll, Youngkin sits in third place with nine percent of Virginia Republicans saying they would choose him.

However, 51 percent of Republicans still said they approve of Youngkin’s work as governor.
