RICHMOND VA: (WSVA) – Average gasoline prices in Virginia rose four cents a gallon in the last week and begin the new work week averaging right at three dollars a gallon.
That is according to GasBuddy’s survey on nearly 41-hundred stations across the commonwealth.
Prices in Virginia are still 11 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand a nickel a gallon higher than a year ago.
By the way, the cheapest gas in Virginia was sold at $2.24 a gallon while the most expensive was 4.29.
The national average price of diesel has risen a penny in the last week and stands at $4.00 per gallon.
