BALTIMORE, Md. – Former James Madison cornerback Jordan Swann has signed his first professional contract with the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League, the team announced Wednesday afternoon.

His signing, a three-year rookie deal, comes following his invite to the franchise’s rookie minicamp, which he participated in earlier in May.

Swann spent his final two collegiate seasons (2021-22) with the Dukes. The Newark, Del., native appeared in 25 games with 12 starts, which included starting all 11 games in JMU’s first FBS season last fall.

As a redshirt senior, Swann was an Honorable Mention All-Sun Belt Conference selection. He registered 24 tackles (15 solo) to go with 3.5 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, a pair of interceptions, one forced fumble and two breakups.

Swann made three interceptions in two seasons with JMU and had four for his career, with his first coming in 2020 while at Maine.

He becomes the first 2022 JMU senior to sign an NFL contract and is one of seven former Dukes currently signed to NFL deals.
