RICHMOND VA: (WSVA) – All of Virginia’s 131 school divisions have finalized enhanced individual spending plans through the new All In VA program.
That’s according to a press release from Governor Glenn Youngkin, who said yesterday that all 418 million dollars allocated for schools across the commonwealth have been accounted for.
The General Assembly approved the program last year, which provides resources for learning loss recovery from the pandemic, addressing chronic absenteeism, and implementing a law that focuses on young students’ reading skills.
Harrisonburg City Public Schools will spend more than three-and-a-half million dollars over three years to hire 17 teacher assistants, increase family engagement, and fund after school programs.
All division plans are posted on the Department of Education website.
