Triple-A is reminding drivers that this is the time of the year when they are most likely to strike a deer, which can be both dangerous and now, significantly more expensive than in years past.
Spokesman Morgan Dean says the average animal strike in Virginia costs over 55-hundred dollars.
Meanwhile, Triple-A reports that Augusta County had the fourth most deer-related crashes in the commonwealth last year while Rockingham County had the seventh most.
In case you are curious, Loudoun County was the top locality for deer strikes in Virginia last year.
