ROCKINGHAM COUNTY: (WSVA) Ashley Burgoyne has earned a seat on the Rockingham County School Board.

The political newcomer was the top voter getter in the District 2 race to defeat Larry Chico and Amber Ham.

Burgoyne says she wants to have an open door so she can talk to parents and teachers.

In the District 5 school board race Hollie Cave defeated Holly Cave.
