LEXINGTON, Va. — The Bridgewater College women’s lacrosse team closed out its 2023 regular season schedule with a road trip to No. 2 Washington and Lee on Wednesday night.

Records: Bridgewater 9-8, 4-4 ODAC; Washington and Lee 15-1, 8-0 ODAC
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Generals scored 11 times in the first quarter before moving out to a 16-0 lead at halftime.
• Lauren Roberts started the second half with back-to-back goals coming at the 10:44 mark and the 4:11 point in the third quarter. The second goal was a man-up score that made the game 17-2.
• Washington and Lee tacked on four more goals in the fourth to take a 21-2 win.
GAME STATS
• Roberts had both Bridgewater goals and also grabbed two draw controls and a pair of ground balls.
• Jenna Entsminger caused a turnover.
• Rachael Robinson made 13 saves in all 60 minutes and snagged two ground balls.
• Madelaine Godat also scooped up a pair of ground balls in the loss. Tavin Krick, Hannah Sherin, Faith Bartos and Caris Cianelli all had one.
• Washington and Lee outshot Bridgewater 45-5 and held a 29-11 edge in ground balls.
UP NEXT
Bridgewater has concluded its 2023 regular season and has clinched the No. 6 seed in the ODAC Tournament. The Eagles now turn their attention to the postseason as they will host No. 7 seed, Averett, on Saturday.
