It’s that time of year again:
Sign-ups start today for the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office Backpack Drive.
In a social media notice, Sheriff Tim Carter said that families interested in getting in line for a free backpack stuffed with school supplies can do so by calling the sheriff’s office.
He said that the drive is available to all students – public, private or homeschooled – from Pre-K all the way through 12th grade.
But don’t be tardy: sign-ups close at the end of the month.
