LURAY VA: (WSVA) – The Luray Police Department says two people were arrested yesterday after abducting a woman outside Luray Caverns.
In a release posted on social media, Chief Bow Cook said that officers responded to the parking lot of the attraction following reports of two masked man forcing the adult woman into a vehicle.
Cook said that a 9-1-1 call from the victim allowed emergency services to ping her location, and officers traced the woman to Mechanic Street in Luray, where they arrested one of the alleged abductors. The second suspect was located and arrested by a Page County Sheriff’s Deputy near Bixler’s Ferry Road.
The suspects’ names have not been released. Cook said investigators believe this was related to an ongoing domestic incident, and there is no threat to the public.
