ROCKINGHAM, VA: (WSVA) – The Rockingham County Board of Supervisors has denied a proposed 500-unit apartment complex off of Stone Spring Road.
During last night’s meeting, supervisors unanimously lined up against the project that would have constructed the apartments less than a mile from the Port Republic Road intersection over the next three years.
In one of his final acts on the board, District 4 Supervisor Billy Kyger said he thought the project was simply too much, too quickly. While Kyger said the complex would be too aggressive for the area right now, he acknowledged that it has potential for the future.
