Mary Lynne Rao (“Lynne”) passed away peacefully on April 1st, 2024 at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community in Harrisonburg, VA at the age of 80. She was loved by all and was always full of smiles and laughs.

Lynne was born in Philadelphia on July 26, 1943 and was a graduate of Glen Burnie High School in 1961.  She married Salvatore Anthony Rao (“Tony”) on May 22, 1965. Tony passed away in 1992.  They moved from Maryland to Italy to Winchester, VA where they raised their family.

She was the daughter of Herbert Clinton Keiper and Augustus Keiper (Ahouse) and sister of deceased brother, Barry Clinton Keiper.

She is survived by son, Scott Andrew Rao; grandson Andrew Rao; granddaughter, Logan Rao; son David Anthony Rao and daughter-in-law, Marsha; granddaughters, Virginia J. Rao and Laura Lynn Rao; grandsons, Casper Andrew Rao and Marshall Anthony Rao; son, Steven Marcus Rao and daughter-in-law, Pamela Rao; grandson, Joshua Anthony Rao; and granddaughters, Katie Lynn Rao and Anna Campbell Rao.

Burial and a small intimate service will be held on Friday, April 5th, 2024 at 2:30 at Shenandoah Memorial Park at 1270 Front Royal Pk. Winchester, VA 22602.
