HARRISONBURG, Va. — Area high school students will help Harrisonburg Public Works employees clean up streams along Blacks Run for the City’s annual Blacks Run Cleanup this weekend.
The 11th- and 12th-grade students from Harrisonburg and Spotswood High Schools will pick up trash and debris from the Blacks Run South project streambanks on Friday, March 29.
The students will be supported by a federal TRIO program run by James Madison University, which helps students work toward attending college or pursuing another post-secondary path.
