Clara Ann Ritchie Hinton, 82, of Fulks Run VA, Passed away on March 17, 2024 at Life Care Center in New Market.

She was born on November 30, 1941 in Rockingham Co. to the late George Franklin and Hazel Sandy Ritchie.

Clara was a lifelong member of Broadway Baptist Church where she was very active in the choir using her God given talent to sing. She worked as a seamstress at H.D. Lee for 27 years and later at Aileen.

On March 30 1962, she married John H. Hinton, Jr., who preceded her in death on October, 24,1999.

She is survived by daughters; Melissa Conley and husband Rob, Jamie Estep and husband Carter, grandchildren; Brandon Long, Daniel Long, Jared Long, Jordan Estep, Jessica Estep, sister; Sandy Biller and husband Wayne.

In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by a sister’s; June Jones and Mary Whetzel.

At her request her body will be cremated and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
