WAYNESBORO, Va – Two brothers were arrested Friday afternoon after a shooting in the Waynesboro area.

Augusta County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Leslie Snyder reports that deputies were dispatched at around 4:45 to the 11-hundred block of East Side Highway and when they arrived, they found a 65-year-old woman that had been struck by a stray bullet.

Snyder said the victim suffered minor injuries.

Meanwhile, 32-year-old Michael Cappuzzo of Staunton and 26-year-old Nicholas Cappuzzo of Waynesboro were charged with reckless handling of a firearm. Both men were released on bond.

Both have court dates scheduled for next month in Augusta County General District Court.
