Augusta County (WSVA)- A student at Stuarts Draft High School is facing serious charges after allegedly making a verbal threat earlier this week.
On Tuesday, the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation immediately after the student made the threat, which included weapons detectors and an increased police presence that lasted into Wednesday.
The student faces two counts of assault under Virginia Code 18.2-57.
The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office investigation has concluded, and Sheriff Donald Smith says there is no current threat to Stuarts Draft High School at this time.
