CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WSVA) – A trial date has been set for the man accused of killing three University of Virginia football players and injuring several others in a shooting nearly 15 months ago.

Online court records shows that a jury trial date of January 22nd of next year was set for Christopher Darnell Jones Junior during a hearing Monday morning in Albemarle County Circuit Court.

The 24-year-old Jones face 13 charges, including six for aggravated murder of multiple persons.

The charges stem from the November 13th, 2022 shooting on the U-V-A campus that claimed the lives of Devin Chandler, D’Sean Perry, and Lavel Davis Junior following a field trip to Washington, D-C.
