CHARLOTTESVILLE VA: (WSVA) – Court proceedings against the former University of Virginia football player accused of murdering three of his ex-teammates two Novembers ago are set to restart today.
According to online records, Christopher Darnell Jones is scheduled to appear today in Albemarle County Circuit Court. The 23-year-old faces 13 charges, including aggravated murder of multiple persons.
He had been facing three counts of second-degree murder until those charges were amended back in October.
Jones allegedly shot and killed Cavalier football players Devin Chandler, D’Sean Perry and Lavel Davis Junior as they were getting off a bus in November 2022.
Two others were injured, including U-V-A running back Mike Hollins – who scored seven touchdowns in his return to the field last year.
