VERONA, Va. — Augusta County authorities have arrested a Mount Sidney man in connection with a handful of vehicle robberies where firearms were taken.

In a release, the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office said that they received several calls earlier this month from folks claiming someone had broken into their vehicles. Most victims said the thief had taken money and guns.

After learning that the weapons had been dumped in the Middle River, officials retrieved some of them from a section near Verona.

Following an investigation, 20-year-old Colby Grimm is facing 13 charges – including four counts of grand larceny.

He was arrested and held pending bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
