HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Harrisonburg will recognize the men and women who have served the nation during its annual Veterans Celebration on Sunday, Nov. 8, in downtown Harrisonburg.

Hosted by Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance (HDR), the event brings together veterans, local organizations and community members from Harrisonburg, Rockingham County and surrounding communities to honor the service and sacrifices of America’s veterans.

The annual celebration provides an opportunity for residents to come together and recognize those, past and present, who have helped protect the nation’s freedoms.

HDR is inviting veterans, veterans organizations, clubs, civic organizations, businesses and individuals to participate in the parade. Entries are encouraged to incorporate a patriotic theme and find a special way to honor veterans.
