WAYNESBORO, VA (Rocktown Now) — An alleged sexual incident involving a minor has led to the arrest of man from Waynesboro.

On August 3rd, Captain Benjamin Lemons says the Waynesboro Police Department began a criminal investigation after receiving a report of alleged sexual activity in the city between a man and a child under 13-years-old.

As a result, Carlos Elvir Antunez was located and arrested last Friday, August 28th, with assistance from the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office.

Lemons reports that the 18-year-old Antunez was then charged with a felony count of Rape of a Child and taken before a State Magistrate.

He is currently being held without bond before an appearance in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on October 26th.
