PAGE COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) –Another Shenandoah Valley school has won a $5,000 grant through T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights program.

Page County High School is a Week 4 winner in the national high school football funding program for schools in small and rural communities, where, as T-Mobile puts it, “Friday nights are more than a game, they are a community gathering point.”

East Rockingham, Fort Defiance and Central High Schools were among Virginia schools awarded grants last month.

Recipient schools may use the $5,000 award for needs like equipment, uniforms, travel costs, facility improvements or other football program expenses.

They are also in the running for a one million-dollar field upgrade.
