HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Governor Abigail Spanberger paid a visit to the City of Harrisonburg during tonight’s 31st annual National Night Out hosted by the Harrisonburg Police Department.

Spanberger said National Night Out is the night across the country where we celebrate communities, first responders and police departments.

“And to be here celebrating with people in Harrisonburg, with the Harrisonburg Police Department, it’s just a great community,” said Spanberger.

The community was invited to eat hamburgers and hot dogs grilled by H-P-D officers, snacks and drinks, activities for children, emergency vehicle displays, and opportunities to engage with officers, firefighters, and community organizations.
