HARRISONBURG VA: (Rocktown Now) – Temperatures will be a few degrees cooler today, but when combined with the humidity, it will still feel like we’re in the mid to upper 90’s. A slow moving frontal system will move from the Ohio Valley into the Mid Atlantic today, bringing the chance for heavy, flooding rain, along with thunder and lighting today. The storm chance will continue into the first of the work week, but with temperatures about ten to fifteen degrees lower.
Heat Advisory is in effect until 8 PM for many areas east of theBlue Ridge Mountains.
Severe thunderstorms are possible, particularly between 3 PM and 9
PM, with scattered damaging winds and sporadic large hail possible.
Widely scattered instances of flash flooding are possible this
evening, mainly in urban areas.
