STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) — The National Association of Letter Carriers’ “Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive” is this weekend in the City of Staunton.

Residents who want to help feed neighbors in need should leave non-perishable donations by their mailbox before the postal worker arrives this Saturday and a Food Drive volunteer will do the rest.

Most needed items include canned foods like soup, fruits, vegetables, beans, and meat, as well as other non-perishable items like peanut butter, rice, pasta, and cereal.

City officials encourage the residents to join in this important effort to stamp out hunger in the community.
