HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Harrisonburg City Council temporarily delayed a decision on the proposed six-story Link Apartment complex at last night’s meeting.
After Mayor Deanna Reed and Councilmember Monica Robinson indicated that they would both vote “no” if a final decision was needed by the end of the night’s proceedings, Councilmember Laura Dent moved to table the matter for 60 days.
Dent, an advocate for the Link, expressed her hope that the virtual time-out would allow the project to earn broader support before moving forward.
The motion to table was then unanimously passed.
The Council agreed to revisit the Link during their June 23rd meeting.
