LURAY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Luray Police Department announced on their social media page that two men have been arrested in a retail theft case.
On April 21, 2026, at approximately 7:45 a.m., the Luray Police Department reportedly received information regarding a vehicle believed to be transporting stolen merchandise into the Town of Luray occupied by two males wanted from multiple jurisdictions.
Officers located the vehicle at the 7-Eleven located at 1034 U.S. Highway 211 and initiated contact with the individuals. During the investigation, it was determined that two male suspects had used the vehicle and were at the nearby Walmart possibly continuing theft activities.
Luray officers subsequently located the two individuals in a vehicle containing a large quantity of suspected stolen merchandise. With the assistance of Page County Sheriff’s Office, 42-year-old Adam Ritenour of Edinburg, VA and 51-year-old Christopher Ritenour of Waynesboro, VA, were taken into custody without incident.
Search warrants were obtained for both vehicles, resulting in the recovery and seizure of all stolen merchandise. Both individuals were arrested and are being held without bond at the Page County Jail. A total of six warrants were served in connection with this incident.
