MOUNT CRAWFORD, VA (Rocktown Now) – UPDATE: 11:42am: All lanes of I-81 have reopened, and authorities say the truck will remain in the median for removal later Tuesday (3/31) evening.
Dispatched just after 9:00 AM, crews responded from Harrisonburg Fire Department Station 2 (Pleasant Valley Road) Rockingham County Fire-Rescue (Port Road Station) Harrisonburg Volunteer Rescue Squad, Bridgewater Rescue Squad, August County Ambulance from Weyers Cave, and Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Company.
UPDATE: 9:55am: Traffic is beginning to flow again as emergency personnel clear the scene.
ORIGINAL STORY: Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Company reported at 9:38 am that northbound Interstate 81 in the area of the 241-mile marker is currently closed due to a tractor trailer crash involving multiple vehicles.
Authorities say one lane will be open as soon as possible.
