STAUNTON, Va – Candi Jo Royer has pleaded guilty to first degree murder in connection with the disappearance and presumed death of three-year-old Khaleesi Cuthriell.

Royer also pleaded guilty to cruelty with intent to injure a child during an arraignment hearing Wednesday afternoon in Augusta County Circuit Court.

According to online records, six other charges were dropped as part of the plea deal with prosecutors.

The 43-year-old Royer will be sentenced on February 22nd of next year.

Meanwhile, the other person charged in the crime, Royer’s then-boyfriend Travis Brown, was found guilty last month of three charges, including murder. He will be sentenced on February 8th of next year.
