STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) — Staunton Public Works has rolled out additional crews to target specific neighborhoods for snow and ice removal and to commence widening operations citywide.

Additional clearing and pushback is currently underway Downtown and in the residential side streets and parking areas located in the Bull Run and Stuart Street areas, as well as the Augusta Street Corridor.

Efforts to widen turn lanes on Richmond, Greenville, Commerce, Statler and New Hope are now a top priority for the Queen City.

Officials say trucks will be seen throughout the city spreading salt over cleared roadways.
