BROADWAY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Route 259 will be closed starting at 9am on Thursday in Broadway.

The Virginia Department of Transportation says this is an emergency closure and the road will be closed until repairs are complete.

Route 259, which is East Lee Street, will be closed from Route 42, which is North Main Street, to Carrie Street.

VDOT did not say what kind of repairs are being made but they do advise drivers to use caution as you follow detours.
